About This Slab
Hard Maple is the workhorse of fine woodworking, and this slab is built to work. At nearly 28 inches wide and over 9 and a half feet long, you're looking at enough wood for a full kitchen island, a generous desk, or a dining table with real presence -- all from a single piece. No seams, no joints, just one continuous surface of creamy-white maple.
The grain is subtle and flowing, which means this slab plays nicely with any finish and any design style. Stain it dark for a modern look, leave it natural for Scandinavian minimalism, or apply a food-safe finish and put it to work as the most beautiful butcher block anyone's ever seen. Maple is one of the hardest domestic species -- this surface won't dent, ding, or complain.
