About This Slab
Sometimes a slab just fits. At just over 10 feet long, widening from 17 to 21 inches, this Cherry slab has a graceful taper that lends itself to designs where the wood's natural shape becomes part of the aesthetic. A live-edge sofa table, a writing desk, or a hallway console -- this slab has the proportions to work beautifully in any of those roles.
American Cherry is prized for its workability -- it cuts cleanly, sands smoothly, and takes finish like a dream. And then it does something no other wood does quite as well: it gets better with age, darkening into a rich, warm amber that makes new furniture look like a family heirloom.
