About This Slab
Cherry is the patient woodworker's dream. The day you finish this slab, it'll be a warm pinkish-brown. Six months later, it deepens to a rich reddish amber. A year from now, it's a deep, lustrous mahogany tone that looks like it cost twice what you paid. No other domestic species transforms like this.
At just over 10 feet long and 18-20 inches wide, this slab is sized perfectly for a farmhouse table, a long desk, or a stunning mantel. The fine, even grain takes finishes beautifully -- oil, lacquer, or poly all look exceptional on Cherry. Some natural end checking adds authentic character to the live edge.
